Dr. Richard H. Blanks MD
Dr. Blanks is an Orthopedic Surgeon who is board certified in both Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from UC San Diego. He went on to receive his medical degree from University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School. He performed his Orthopedic Surgery training at the University of Massachusetts. He then completed his sports medicine fellowship at the Orthopedic Specialty Hospital in Salt Lake City, where he trained using the latest arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Blanks strives to provide the highest quality care with personalized service including surgical and nonsurgical treatment options. He has treated recreational as well as Olympic and professional athletes. Dr. Blanks stays up-to-date with the most innovative and advanced treatment options. His current interests are in optimizing ACL surgery outcomes and improving arthroscopic rotator cuff repair techniques.
Dr. Blanks is an active member of The Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the California Orthopedic Association.
